Dr. Mohamed Limam

Academic Advisor

Mr. Mohamed Limam holds a PhD in Statistics from Oregon State University (OSU), USA, in 1985, and an MSc in Statistics, from the same university in 1981. He started his career as an Assistant Professor at OSU, then at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 1994, he moved to Tunisia as Associate Professor of statistics at the University of Tunis. His research interests include the area of Applied and Computational Statistics, Data Mining, Statistical Process Control and Quality Management. He supervised more than 50 MSc and 25 PhD theses and authored more than 140 research publications. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Quality and Standards.  Prof. Limam was the Dean of the Institut Superieur de Gestion of the University of Tunis from 1995 till 2001, then Vice President of the same University from 2007 till 2011 and Deputy Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman from 2012 till 2019.Since March 2023 he works as Academic Advisor with the American University in North of Africa.

Dr. Hedi Belazi

Doctor in Linguistics

Dr. Hedi Belazi is a seasoned academic leader and educational management expert with a proven track record in developing and administering academic programs at the university level. Dr. Belazi’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including educational management, academic program management, instructional design, and soft skills training. He has a deep understanding of competence-based training program design, and has developed and delivered numerous training on topics such as self-awareness, self-development, self-management, effective presentation skills, training trainers, teamwork, and leadership skills. Dr. Belazi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature & Linguistics from the University of Tunis (1978), a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from Cornell University (1984), and a PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University (1991). His academic qualifications and extensive experience make him a highly respected and sought-after expert in the field of education.

Scott Johnson

Marketing/Management Instructor

Mr. Scott Johnson is an internationally recognized management consultant with expertise in training, capacity development, business development, and marketing. He has worked for prominent international banks and consulting firms, advising governments on SME development and private sector growth. Mr. Johnson has managed information distribution projects and provided training in various countries. He holds two Masters Degrees in International Affairs and International Management. Currently, he teaches at the American University of North Africa and is a proud husband and father.

Kari Kiser

English Instructor

Kari is a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching English to speakers of other languages. She holds a Master of Education Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX, USA. Additionally, Kari obtained a TEFL Certificate from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, IL, USA. Prior to her postgraduate studies, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English/Language Arts: Secondary Education from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, USA. With over a decade of teaching experience, Kari has honed her skills as an English/Language Arts teacher. Kari’s expertise extends beyond the classroom, as she has also taught various English courses for working professionals, university students and provided English tutoring services to doctors and university professors.

Grace Elizabeth GROSSMANN

Communication Instructor

Grace is an accomplished educator with a passion for teaching languages. She holds a Master of Arts in TESOL from Wheaton Graduate School in Wheaton, IL, USA. Prior to this, Grace earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, USA. Grace’s educational journey began with an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, USA, in May 2019. With her strong academic background, Grace has applied her knowledge and expertise in the field by working as an English Teacher at Nueva Amanecer in San Salvador, El Salvador, since 2017. She has also served as an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher at World Relief-Chicagoland, showcasing her dedication to helping students achieve their language learning goals. Grace’s commitment to education and her multicultural experiences have shaped her into a versatile and effective language educator.

 

Senda Belhaj Slimene

Doctor in Finance

Ph.D in Finance, IHEC of Carthage, 2018

Dr. Senda is an experienced finance educator with a strong focus on the integration of IT into financial analysis. With over six years of teaching experience at various business schools, she has a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and engaging students in the subject matter. Dr. Senda completed her PhD prior to joining AUNA as a full-time faculty member in 2018. Her research interests lie at the intersection of finance and technology, and she actively incorporates the use of software and data analytics into her teaching. Her expertise extends to areas such as corporate financial performance analysis, international finance, and portfolio management. Her dedication to providing students with a comprehensive understanding of modern financial practices makes her an invaluable asset to AUNA.

 

 

Mehdi Ben Amor

Doctor in Economics

He is a Microeconomist specializing in Industrial Organization, with a research focus on the Economics of Sustainable Development. His doctoral dissertation explored the concept of transitioning to a green and sustainable economy by analyzing companies in Sweden that embraced Product Service Innovation (PSS). His area of study incorporated various fields of research such as Management, Marketing, Finance, Design, and System Information. Using a new paradigm, he collaborated with experts to analyze collaboration and competition strategies in the Aerospace industry. Currently, his research revolves around promoting PSS adoption in developing countries, particularly in Tunisia.

Manel Jabri

Business English Instructor

Mrs. Manel Jabri English Language Programs Instructor: AUNA l AMIDEAST Tunis| International School of Carthage.

As an experienced English Language Programs Instructor, Mrs. Manel is passionate about imparting knowledge and fostering language proficiency among learners. Her academic background in English Language and Civilization Literature, History, and Linguistic Studies, coupled with her Master’s degree in the field, specializing in American Civilization and Social Issues, provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the English language and its cultural context. Through her expertise in teaching methods and language acquisition principles, She aims to empower learners with effective communication skills and a deep appreciation for the English language.

Rym Khanfir

Doctor in Marketing

Rim Khanfir is a dedicated and accomplished marketing professor at AUNA. Her academic background includes a Doctorate in Marketing and an impressive certification in Leadership and Health Management earned from the esteemed University of Washington and the University of Tunis’ Medical School. With a passion for marketing and a commitment to health, Rim is driven to impart knowledge and empower students to positively impact the business world and make meaningful contributions to society. She joined the faculty at AUNA, where she found her calling in teaching and mentoring. With her extensive knowledge, practical insights, and commitment to excellence, Rim inspires her students to become innovative thinkers, strategic decision-makers, and ethical practitioners in the marketing arena.

Rania Ridene

English Instructor

Mrs. Rania Ridène is a highly respected business English teacher at the University of La Manouba, known for her outstanding contributions to education and linguistics. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Language with a specialization in Linguistics in 2002, followed by a Master’s degree in English for Specific Purposes in 2004. In 2005, she acquired a Certificate of Aptitude for Secondary Education. Currently, Mrs. Ridène serves as the Head of the Language Department at the Tunis Business School ESCT since 2020, and has been a Business English teacher at the same school since 2005. Additionally, she has taught Scientific English at the Free University of Tunis since 2019. Mrs. Ridène is also a skilled freelance translator, with experience in translating documents aimed at improving Tunisia’s international image. Her dedication to language education and intercultural understanding has made a significant impact in both academic and professional settings.
